That is why I am happy to re Gamiani is a somewhat Sadean quasi-Gothic erotic novel of the s which has been attributed, although not certainly, to Alfred De Musset and which even reached the hands of Edith Wharton no less. This is definitely not the book for those who like their romance sweet and light, nor is it a story for those who are looking for the definitive Mksset literature – however, if you fall somewhere in between and have no problem with sexual depravity and graphic descriptions then you may very well enjoy this.
Alfred de Musset is one of my favorite novelist and poets. The novel was illustrated with unsigned lithographs whose authorship remains unknown.
