I DID like most of it, but the issues I wickd with it kept me from rating it higher. Mitch’s narrative of what boiled down to “Well, even if she does get pregnant, I’ll just qicked her,” didn’t help any. I think I’ll have to wait for some of the reviews to see if things are going to change.
I loved the realism, in fact. Oct 29, Vivian rated it liked it Shelves: Mitch and Liv were each other’s childhood saviors. Again, we only got a little bit of insight at the end but even that wasn’t enough to understand her. The book starts off dark and gritty at the trailer park, veers into a giddy stage of nonstop sex, some of which is rather unrealistic wicmed the fucking-in-the-steakhouse scenethen drops out about two-thirds of the way into a very realistic, serious consideration of the problems facing this relationship.
